My little space

This is a place for me to express myself and vent. You can keep updated on what's going on in my life since I'm not very good at keeping everyone updated elsewhere!!!

Running together

My days are, that is. I am a little unsure of what day I'm living in. I've been so doped up this week that I forget what day is what and what time is what. I feel like I'm in a time warp. I'm fairly certain that today is Friday...since Scott is leaving for work and he doesn't have to work on Saturday this week. LOL! The kids are quiet and leaving me alone, so I am a happy camper.
My friend Lisa brought me flowers today. It was so sweet of her and it made my day!!! I've moved them around the house to wherever I am at today. It's been so fun to have flowers:)

Another friend, Sylvia, brought me a card and a surprise! My friend, Mareica, brought dinner last night.
I am so fortunate to have such GREAT friends in my life.
I love you all!!!

Hugs!

Back to the ER

Well, last night, my pain started back. I was drinking tons of fluid but when I went to the bathroom, there was very little to come out. What did come out was filled with blood. I showed it to Scott and I think he kinda freaked out a bit. LOL!
So, another jaunt to the ER since we waited on "hold" for nearly 2 hours before we could reach the doctor that did my surgery.
They did an x-ray to make sure the stent was still in place, they poked me twice to get blood for bloodwork. I peed in a cup...and of course, I've got an infection. I didn't have a fever, thank goodness, but can I tell you how crabby this nurse was???

She asked why I was there, well, I can't exactly talk because the night before I had a tube shoved down my throat. I was trying to explain what was going on but it was a little difficult and I had to keep stopping to clear my throat.
Then she asked what drugs I had taken before I came in. Well, I pulled out all the bottles for her to see. She proceeds to ask, "Well, which ONE of these did you take before you came tonight?" I had to explain to this poor lady with multi-colored skunk hair that I, indeed took EVERY one of the medicines I had laid in front of her about 2 hours earlier.
It's not uncommon to take a pain killer (which didn't work all that well), an antibiotic and a urinary antiseptic tablet all at once! They got me in a room. I didn't actually see a doctor, just the PA. I really didn't care, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to keel over from loss of blood. So the other nurse comes in, can't find a vein, but attempts to draw blood from my right arm. NO such luck. I don't even think I bled when she poked me or pulled out the butterfly.
So, she goes to get this much older, much more experienced nurse. Well, the new nurse looks, my left arm is bruised from where they took blood on Monday. My right arm...well, the first nurse didn't find blood there, so there was no use trying there again.
My right forearm is where they put my IV for my surgery. So finally she opts for the back of my left hand. Let me tell you! Thank goodness I took my pain meds before I went or I surely would have been off that table. It HURT! She dug around for a minute and finally the blood started flowing. She took 4 vials of blood and it took forever. I wasn't dehydrated. I had consumed a minimum of 32 ounces of liquids less than an hour before I got there. Hence the concern when I only peed enough to cover the bottom of a cup. LOL!
Anyway, my bloodwork came back ok, other than the infection in my urine, I'm ok. Other than the 12 inch stent from my bladder into my kidney, I'm ok. It's all normal, routine stuff. Now, I just have to get ready for the removal next week! I'm sooooo looking forward to that!

Thanks for listening!

Kidney Stone! Yuck!

That's what I have! I'm in severe pain when I'm not on my Percocet. Plus, I can't even talk straight because I'm a little "high" lol! Scott thinks I'm a lot nicer when I'm high. hee hee.

Anyway, if you don't see me for a couple of days, just know I'm trying to pass this thing!

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to...

What happened to this "part time" job I have???

I worked 11 hours on Tuesday and 9 hours on Wednesday!

That's all the hours I normally work in a WHOLE week!

I'm going in early today, too. We've just been so swamped and it's almost impossible to get ahead when you're so far behind! Don't get me wrong, though! I love the extra cash. It sure does make a difference.

Allrighty...it's time to get ready to go back to work again!

I'm definitely not staying late tonight, though. I AM NOT missing the premiere of Grey's Anatomy. LOL!

Whew!

I worked a TON today. I got to work at just before 10 and got off at 9 tonight. I didn't see Cameron at all today and Julia was going to sleep right as I got home. I will definitely love my check when I get it on Friday but I'm not sure I can work these long hours every day this week. We have tons of clothes to get ready so I'm sure I could get tons of hours this week! Guess you gotta take it when you can get it! LOL!

Fun Monday!

Yesterday was a complete disaster, yet a complete success!

Things that sucked about yesterday:

1. Jenna went to the hospital for her month long stay:(

2. Cameron's field trip was cancelled due to rain.

3. I got nothing accomplished that I had planned on doing at the house.

Things that were great about yesterday:

1. Scott and I had "Date Night" during the day!

We went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast then to Providence out in Mt. Juliet to see a movie.

2. We watched Talledega Nights (The Ballad of Ricky Bobby) It was HILARIOUS! I usually don't like these kind of movies, but it was fun!

3. I got to go to Third Coast Clay and painted Scott's birthday present. I can't post what I made yet just in case he decides to read my blog and sees!

4. On the way home, I got TACO BELL! I love Taco Bell! LOL!

All in all, I had a pretty good Monday. Now, for the rest of the week. I'm pretty sure I'll be busy at work this week and I have a busy weekend planned. If you don't hear from me...PLEASE check to make sure I'm still afloat.

Please keep praying for Jenna!!!

My day

We got up early...and by early, I mean I was in the shower at 7. I was up long before that, though. Scott got home and we headed out to some yard sales. We got 3 brand new, very fluffy cushions to sit on in the garage aka "Studio G" for $5. They were from target and still had the tags on them. Heck, even if the girl got them on clearance, they would have probably been $30.
I'm excited. It's much easier to sit on the cushions instead of the hard concrete floor while we're playing Nintendo and Playstation. LOL!

After the yard sales, we went to a birthday party. The kids had a BLAST! We left there and went to Toys R Us because Scott's birthday is in a couple of weeks and he wants a "chopper" bike. He's going to be 34...he does NOT need a chopper...but what do I know?

We ended up buying him a rack for the back of the bike he just got about a month ago so he's happy for the time being.

We came home, Scott passed out cold. Neither of us has slept very good in the past couple of weeks. He's still sound asleep right now. Ok, he's only been asleep for just over 2 hours.
I've got to wake him up at around 9 so he can get ready for work.

I've got the worst headache that will not go away whatever I do. I honestly think it's from not sleeping. That can take such a toll on your body. I've really got to start sleeping better!

I'm still praying for my friend, Jenna. Please continue to pray too!

:)

My problems are so small.

I'm trying to put the issues in my life into perspective. My friend, Jenna, found out today that she, indeed, has leukemia.

I'm in SHOCK! How can someone so young, so vibrant, with a wonderful family and 3 wonderful kids get so sick? These kinds of illness are really meant for old...and I mean OLD people! Not people who have just started enjoying life!

There are much bigger things in life than my problems!

Please send a prayer up for her!!! She needs all the prayers and love she can get right now!

What a difference...

some sleep can make! Let's see... the doctor gave me some samples of Ambien CR when I went in the last time. She said to see how it works and then I could get a Rx the next time I came in. Well, to make a long story short, there's a huge difference between Ambien 10mg and Ambien 12.5mg CR. LOL! I slept all night long on Friday night. I don't remember getting up at all. When I got up on Saturday morning, it was just for a little while then I crawled back in bed, slept until 11:30 then got up, went back to bed around 4 and slept until 6:30. I went to bed last night around 11 and got up this morning at 7! That's about as much sleep as I would get in a whole week in about 36 hours. LOL!
Unfortunately, I have to function, so I need to get the strength reduced but my sleep is definitely looking up. I made myself 2 omelettes and some coffee for breakfast. Cameron is up now playing with his Leapster and Julia is still passed out cold. We've got a baby shower to go to this afternoon and Scott has TONS of homework to do. I'm ready for tomorrow already. Scott's day off and he's got court, but I'm going with him and then we'll do something fun after!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Lost their mind!!

Metro that is. LOL!
Scott has court this morning. It's LABOR DAY for heaven's sake. I didn't think that ANY governments worked on holidays, but apparently Metro is confused. LOL!
Hopefully with it being a holiday, Scott can get in and out without much trouble! We're planning on going to the zoo with some friends in a bit. The kids are in "Studio G" watching Cry Baby with Johnny Depp. I'm catching up on my internet time and we're going to get a quick shower and head out to meet Scott at the police station! We haven't been to the zoo all summer since it's been so hot so today will be GREAT!
This new medicine seems to be working wonderfully. I'm not near as crabby as I have been in the past, thank goodness.

Oh, my neighbor finally had her son yesterday afternoon late. He was 9lbs, 8oz and 20 inches long. I can't wait to see the little booger. I'm sure he's cute as a button!

Have a great holiday!!

Baby on the way.

No, not for me, but my neighbor. I was over across the street yesterday afternoon. I was supervising the "fence putting up" and helping out a little. Just as we were getting ready to leave about 6:45, Deb comes into the living room and announced that her water broke. They were scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday but she was really hoping that she could go on her own before that. I was hoping too!
So, off they went to the hospital, with the fence half done and I'm waiting to hear news of Xavier Paul.
I can't wait to see the new bambino~

My weekend plans

Since Scott will be sleeping most of tomorrow and Sunday, I need to get cracking on this house. I sooo need to go through the kids clothes, consign what they can't wear and get rid of everything else. LOL! Julia can't wear much and she's getting super picky about her clothes.
I plan on doing a ton of laundry, going through the kids clothes and getting rid of some stuff on Freecycle. I need to fix my shower nozzle since it seems to be spraying out the back and soaking the wall. I have to get it taken care of before it becomes a huge issue. Julia wants to have a movie night and since Scott is off on Sunday night and doesn't have to be at court until 9am on Monday (yes, Monday...AKA Labor Day) Don't get me started! I think we're going to try to go to the drive in. We, and by we, I mean Scott, Julia, Cameron and I plan to go to court with Scott on Monday, REDNECK STYLE. LOL! I'm pretty sure I should leave my pistol at home that day. LMAO!
Since it's a holiday and his day off, we're going to go with him to court and let the kids run amok so that he can get out of there quickly! Plus, Scott wants to hang out with the kiddos in Nashville so maybe we'll get to do that early in the day before it gets too hot!

If you check on me over the weekend, make sure that I'm staying "on task" and actually accomplish something.

Too good to be true.

Well, in my last few posts, you saw that I was actually going to have a normal life. Well, that was all a HUGE HOAX apparently. I'm so mad right now! Scott was going to put in for a transfer to backgrounds and recruiting but decided not to since his days off were changing. The posting for that job ended on the 30th. Well, this morning, he learned that his days off are staying the same and NOT changing. He's still going to have Sunday and Monday nights off. This has totally taken the breath out of me. Scott had a paramedic take his bp last night and it was 145/98 I think. I'm pretty sure that's what he said. He's so stressed out he can't function. I'm so stressed out that I can't function and that doesn't make for a good situation for anyone. It's 7:00 and I haven't even gotten the kids out of bed. They have to be there at 7:30, but this morning, I don't even want to function! What makes me so mad is that Scott could have had nights off, been home most weekends and had some sembelance of a normal life if he had gotten that other job. Ok, I'm going to have to type the rest of this later. I just don't have the mentality this morning to put this on paper!
