My little space

This is a place for me to express myself and vent. You can keep updated on what's going on in my life since I'm not very good at keeping everyone updated elsewhere!!!

Feeling Blah today.

I've been feeling kinda funky today. Much like I'm getting the flu. I'm not sure why, but I sure hope I shake it soon!
I'm also feeling like I can never get enough to eat. I'm constantly starving. It makes NO sense to me.
(I just had my period, so I'm NOT pregnant!)
The kids are getting on my nerves, I need a nap and I'm really hoping that Scott can get this light installed in my garage tonight. I want to start scrapping out here but I can't see. LOL!
My mom and dad brought us 3 rugs to use in the garage. There are two that are chocolate brown...great because they don't show any dirt. One of them, we used when we lived in married housing on MTSU campus 11 years ago. The other is a smaller one and then the third is a tan color with some sort of design on it. It will be perfect for in front of the TV. We're getting out pretty cheap on this garage remodel. I'm very happy about that!

I've got an old kitchen cabinet that I've been storing my scrapping stuff in. It's in the corner and hopefully later we can get my HUGE desk out here, too.
I'll be working tomorrow since my boss's mother is having surgery done. Hopefully I'll get some time to myself so I can relax and rest.

Let's see if this works!

You Are 44% Bitchy
Generally, you're an average woman, with average moods. But sometimes... well, watch out!Sometimes, you let your mean side get the better of you. And you enjoy every minute of it.
How Bitchy Are You?

Can't keep up!

It seems like life is just flying by. I can't seem to keep up with this blog. LOL!
The ride along was great! The first call we went to was a bad accident that involved someone I am aquainted with. Not friends, just run into at work. He was drinking, hit someone head on and flipped his truck into the ditch. It burst into flames. UGH!
Anyway, when we went to Southern Hills to return his DL to him, he recognized me. He kept telling the nurse and Scott that he knew me from "SOMEWHERE". LOL! Have another drink, buddy!

We went on another call where the suspect was supposedly wearing nothing. In my mind, I was thinking, "HMMM, sounds like fun to me!" But in reality, most of the time....OK, almost all of the time, it's REALLY not something you want to see! LOL!
When they brought him out of the apartment, he was clothed...and I'm extremely glad I didn't see him in all of his glory.

Let's see. We got to work this weekend and have nearly completed the renovations (externally) on the garage. We now have a door, a window, a wall and a window air conditioner. All we have to do now is put in some outlets, put up some paneling and paint it on the inside. It's so nice to have a place to send the kids. LOL!

Well, I've got to get something accomplished today, so I better get going!!!

Busy week!

This morning was a real treat for me. LOL! I got to sit for an hour at the Social Security office in Murfreesboro. I got there 15 minutes before they opened and I still had to wait an hour.
I got my business taken care of and headed home in time to get to work. Tomorrow, I have to be at the DMV to get my carry permit...FINALLY! I finally got all the paperwork and updated information in order to actually be able to stand in line for a couple of hours to get it. Then I have to go and get my fingerprints made.
Tomorrow night, I have a ride along planned with Scott. It's the first time in probably 7 years that I've got to ride with him. I'm pretty excited. I hope I can stay awake.
Saturday I'm going to hang out with the kids and do a little cleaning! Scott is off this weekend so we may venture out to the drive in. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

Whew!

Where to start. I haven't been real good about updating this lately since I've been really busy. LOL!
Let's see...
I have been cleaning out my garage which has been a huge task in itself. We do have it cleaned out enough to start painting the walls. We found 2 gallons of "oops" paint at Lowes. (Same color) We also bought a window at the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Murfreesboro. It was $20 instead of the $100 window we saw at Lowes. Our total purchases for turning the garage into a playroom so far total around $35. We still need to get a door and price siding, but...so far, so good.

I finished helping my parents move all their boxes and things out of the top level of their old house and put a ton of stuff in their attic. They have decided to list it now...since they have been in their new house since November. LOL! We still have 2 garages and an outbuilding to clean out.

I am hoping to do a ride-along with Scott on Friday night of this week. I'm waiting to hear if it was approved by the captain or not.

I guess that's about all the updates I have for now.
Later~

Hot July

I can't believe the heat. I don't really like being hot. LOL!
I was outside quite a bit today working in the yard, playing with the kids and cleaning the garage. This afternoon, the kids decided that we needed to put up the tent in the garage and they would sleep out there tonight. Well, it's 10:30 and Cameron has made his way inside. Julia is still awake and reading a book out there as I type. We've been dogsitting my new neighbor's 140 lb Great Dane/Rottie mix. She's sweet as can be! I just can't believe this dog weighs as much as me. LOL! Scott got his hammock up today so I'm sure that we'll be hanging out in in tomorrow...no pun intended.
Hee Hee.
